vision

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Club of SPC aims to help students develop a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and to act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information on all aspects of enterprise building to budding entrepreneurs.

About Us

IEDC at SPC was established in 2020, with the objective of enabling the students to start their own entrepreneurial ventures. IEDC is an undertaking of the Government of Kerala, under the strong mentorship of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). IEDC works as a platform for bringing in successful entrepreneurs to the modern dynamic business world.

Purpose

To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects and to promote the institutional vision of transforming youngsters into technological entrepreneurs and innovative leaders.

Functions
  • To create awareness and interest among faculties and students through workshops and Hackathons.
  • To motivate, support and mentor students for identification, development and commercialisation of their innovative ideas.
  • To create a platform for the young brains to develop their skills and to give proper technological exposure.
  • To organize workshops, Business plan competitions, Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, innovation Camps in the college.
Activities

1. On 3rd November 2020, an Induction program aimed at creating Entrepreneurship awareness among students was conducted on behalf of SPC IEDC, presided by Dr. Shaju Varghese, Principal and classes headed by the IEDC Nodal Officer Dr. Sona S Dev and Assistant Nodal Officer Dr. Renu Susan Samuel. The program was organised through a Google Meet on the same day at 2:00pm.

2. On 16th November 2020, MGNCRE online workshop on Social Entrepreneurship was conducted. It was an awareness program for a competition by Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell (REDC). The event was held through Google Meet and was presided over by Narendra Babu Dharla, Program Coordinator of MGNCRE.
