Rapid advances in the information technologies have revolutionized the role and importance of libraries in the learning process of every human being. As a result, libraries face new challenges, demands, and expectations. Libraries are redesigning services and information products to add value to their services and to satisfy the changing information needs of the user community. To meet with the increasing information needs of academic community of St.Peter’s College, we started a Digital Library named as ‘PRAMANA’, with an Open Source Digital Library Software D-Space, and was inaugurated by M.G University Vice Chancellor Dr.Sheena Shukkur on 24th June 2014.
URL of our Digital library within campus is http://169.254.95.120:8080/xmlui . The concept PRAMANA is derived from the Sanskrit root ' prama', which means true knowledge/accurate notion. Services available in Digital Library are E-Question papers (previous years), PhD Thesis, WEBOPAC (Web Online Public Access Catalogue) etc.
